November 2009 News

Davis and Barrett secure a contract for 72 social houses in Springfield Road, Highbridge, Somerset from their client *Mansell Construction. ROK* select Davis and Barrett for the FLYBE Exeter Airport project which involves supplying materials, plant and labour on the construction of a prestige building at the Devon site. The project will commence in earnest in February 2010. *Mansell Construction* choose D & B to return to Brixham, South Devon to supply all required materials, plant and labour on the build of the new fish market and restaurant. Work will begin in January 2010.

June 2009 News

*H W Pollard* have chosen Davis and Barrett to build the new extension to Taunton Museum. The project starts in June 2009 and involves all the stone, restoration and refurbishment work. Keeping to a tight programme, we will be using our masonry skills in order to retain the character of the historic building, a key requirement of this project. In other news, Davis and Barrett have also secured the block work at Paignton College. This project will also commence in June 2009.

Spring 2009 News

Davis & Barrett are pleased to announce that they have secured their second contract with *Mansells* in March 2009. Meanwhile. H W Pollard have chosen Davis & Barrett to return to Norton Hill School. This time the project involves extending the sports hall. Work starts during April 2009. We are also building a children’s nursery for Exeter University. This project also commences during April 2009.

D&B and Mansell's in Park Plans

Davis & Barrett are pleased to announce they have been awarded the contract for brick and block work by Mansell for the new Edginswell Business Park development in Torquay, Devon. This potentially two-year project takes D&B onto a whole new level!

Pollards choose Davis and Barrett

Davis & Barrett are pleased to continue their association with Henry W Pollard and Sons on the bricklaying contracts for various schemes in Bristol and around the Westcountry. One of their current new projects together is an exciting extension development at the main UBHT building of the Bristol Royal Infirmary. The contract commenced in Spring 2009 and has a value of £45,000.

D&B have the market sewn up for D&D!

Davis & Barrett recently completed the brickwork on a brand new administration centre at Brixham fish market in South Devon. This project was carried out for contractor Dean & Dyball.

Davis and Barrett selected by Gadd Construct

Davis & Barrett are pleased to announce that they were recently chosen as a subcontractor by Gadd Construct to work on a project at Long Ashton near Bristol. The project involves the construction of six new dwellings and the conversion of a school.
