Whilst undertaking the masonry works to the new extension at Clyst St Mary Primary School, we grasped the opportunity to construct walls using Straw Bales. This may seem primitive but it is a recognised sustainable method of construction.

Following a formal training programme with Dorset College of Rural Skills we swapped our trowels for twine and constructed the first Davis & Barrett Straw Wall.
